McAfee Installation fails with error code 12152

  • Download McAfee Uninstall Tool and run the file McAfee Uninstall Tool
  • After the uninstallation completes click on "Restart"
  • Download the McAfee CD (ZIP format) which you have purchased
  • Antivirus     Internet Security     Total Protection
  • Extract the downloaded ZIP file. After extraction completes run the file exeInstall.exe to install McAfee.
  • After the installation is complete, cancel the registration process.
  • Download McAfee Subscription Repair Tool McAfee Subscription Repair Tool
  • Run the downloaded file (subdbfix.exe), enter the email id and password you used to register your McAfee product.
  • Select your subscription and click next.
  • Do not click restart.
  • Next right-click the McAfee M-shield  icon next to your PC’s clock. (If the McAfee icon is not visible, click the show more icons "^" button.)
  • Click Verify Subscription.
  • Click Yes if you are prompted to allow the app to make changes to your device.
  • Wait for the process to complete.
  • Once the Verification is complete you will receive a message Verification complete. Click ok.
  • Now click on restart to complete your activation.
